Dental Restoration in Pickering
Your teeth can sustain a lot of damage over time from wear and tear, decay, or injuries. When damage to a tooth occurs, we use dental restoration treatments to restore its appearance and function. We provide a full range of restorations, including fillings, crowns, and bridges.

Fillings
A filling restores the parts of your tooth that are affected by damage. This includes not only cavities, but other damage caused by injuries or erosion. Filling treatment involves preparing the tooth for the filling, placing the filling material, and adjusting the filling to restore your natural bite.
We provide tooth-coloured composite fillings that match the natural colour of your teeth. We may also recommend traditional amalgam fillings, depending on your individual situation.
Crowns
A dental crown, or “dental cap” is used to completely cover the visible part of a damaged tooth. Crowns can be made of a variety of different materials depending on the repairs that are needed and your preferences.
To place a crown, we prepare the tooth by removing small amounts of enamel. Once the tooth is prepared, we take an impression or digital scan, have the crown produced, and cement it in place to restore your smile. We provide traditional crowns and same-day crowns that can be placed in a single appointment.
Same Day Crowns
Our same day crowns let you get a permanent dental crown in a single appointment, without the need for impression trays or a temporary crown. To produce a same day crown, we take a digital scan of your teeth and then use our in-house system to produce the permanent crown from ceramic. In most cases we can scan your tooth and place the new crown in a single appointment.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are restorations similar to fillings, but they are produced outside the mouth in a dental laboratory or CEREC system. They are used for teeth where a stronger restoration is needed. They’re often used to restore the strength and function of molars where a large filling may crack or fracture under biting pressure. Once the inlay or onlay has been produced, it is bonded to the tooth with dental adhesive.
Bridges
A dental bridge is restoration that is designed to bridge the gap left by one or more lost teeth. The bridge contains one or more artificial teeth called “pontics,” that replace the lost tooth or teeth, and two dental crowns that are placed on the teeth on each side of the gap. Bridges can also be designed to be placed on dental implants.
